”Our Community Works” Skate-A-Thon Raises Over $5,500

March 14, 2006 Update

As has been reported on the Three Mile Lake web site, the arena in Burk’s Falls is in need of major repairs. “Our Community Works” is a fund-raising campaign set up to help raise the nearly $1.2-million which will be required.

Although turnout was small at the March 4 Skate-A-Thon, those that did participate managed to raise $5,500 for the cause. This event was one of the early kick-offs (or would that be face-offs?!) for fundraising efforts.
