There were some close battles in the Armour Township Municipal election on Monday, November 13.  However, in the end, many familiar faces will be returning to Council.

Bob MacPhail prevailed by 127 votes over Gary McFarlane in the race for Reeve.  MacPhail was a Councillor in the previous municipal term.  Rod Blakelock, Marty Corcoran and Jerry Brandt were all returned as Councillors.  Corcoran had served as Reeve for part of the last term following the death of Richard Thomas.  Only Patrick Hayes will be a newcomer to Council as the fourth Councillor.  Joanne Cripps lost out on a Council seat by only 14 votes.  Richard Holloway, Ken White and Earl Haggart trailed the other candidates.

The Three Mile Lake Community Club will continue to work with local Council and stay on top of local issues which affect our association members.
